With this in mind, I welcome Administrator Wheeler’s decision to develop a consistent, documented approach to weigh the economic impacts of the regulations the agency is tasked with enforcing. Reforming the EPA’s cost-benefit analysis system will positively impact vital facets of our economy, including manufacturing and energy exploration. Moreover, an improved cost-benefit model within the EPA will offer both policymakers and the public a more clear understanding of the consequences of proposed regulations on jobs, economic growth, investment, and the competitiveness of U.S. manufacturing.“
